Dumpster Rental Process

After you decide what size dumpster you need, place an order by phone or order online. You’ll provide the delivery address and where the dumpster should be placed upon arrival.

Most dumpsters have rear gates opening approximately 8 feet, so indicate whether you plan to use the gate. We recommend placing boards down to protect your driveway or surface from potential damage (boards are provided by the customer). Allow 24 hours for delivery Monday through Friday.

14 day dumpster rentals in and around Madison, WI

Rent a Dumpster for Up to 14 days

You can rent your dumpster for up to 14 days at the same price, but you don’t have to keep the dumpster for the full rental period. Roll-off waste containers can be returned any time before the 14 days for the same rate. After the 14-day rental period expires, the rental cost is $27/day.

How Pricing at Madison Dumpster Rental Works

Our dumpster rental prices are based on a flat rate under a designated tonnage cap. There are no hidden fees like fuel, environmental, service or tax charges. Our flat rate covers delivery, removal and disposal of debris up to the included tonnage cap.

If the dumpster exceeds the tonnage cap, overages are billed at $89 per ton. When containers are picked up, they are weighed before going into the landfill and again after dumping.

A false run fee may be charged if containers are blocked or overfilled at the scheduled pickup time. If the dumpster is kept past the 14-day rental period, you will be charged per day. If the dumpster is placed on the street, a city street permit may be required, and flashing barricades may be required, depending on the location. Street permits are pulled by the homeowner.

Dumpsters will automatically be removed after 14 days. If you are finished before the 14-day period, please contact us for removal.

Beware of “By the Pound” Dumpster Pricing

Beware of affordable companies advertising $199–$300 rates on dumpsters. These rentals may include low weight caps, which can lead to high overage costs after pickup.

For fair price comparisons, confirm:

  • The tonnage cap
  • The cost per ton over the cap
  • The rental period length

Reduced-Rate Dumpsters for Concrete, Asphalt & Dirt

Madison Dumpster Rental offers 12-yard dumpsters for concrete, asphalt and dirt loads. Concrete, asphalt and dirt can be recycled, so they are offered at a lower rate. In many cases, this option can be offered without a tonnage cap.

Contact us for current pricing and details for clean concrete/asphalt/dirt loads.

Things You Need to Know About Dumpster Placement

Dumpster on the Street

Permission to place the dumpster on the street needs to be granted by your local DPW a day before delivery. We will need a control number or the name and number of the person at the DPW before we place the dumpster on the street.

Dumpster in an Alley

Dumpsters normally do not fit in the back of a property through an alleyway. They also cannot be placed on any public right-of-way, such as an alley, sidewalk, or median strip. It is a good idea to measure the area to confirm fit and check dumpster dimensions.

Dumpster on a Driveway

When placing the dumpster on a driveway or parking pad, refer to the dimensions of our roll-off dumpsters. Specify if the dumpster door needs to swing open. The dumpster door is located on the back of the dumpster and will need 9’ of space behind the roll-off dumpster to do so.

Protecting Your Driveway with Wood

It is a good idea to place wood down to protect the surface of your driveway. Use 3 each 2X4 or (2X6 preferably) planks, 4-8’ in length. Plywood can also work, but it is not as thick. Lay wood down in the general area to mark the location of the dumpster, and the driver will position the wood in place. You are responsible for providing the wood.
